I love collaborating with Art Directors! When Emily Utne reached out with an editorial project for the Best of Vegan issue, I was thrilled.

The task was to create four images, she was looking for bold, clean, and colorful. Each image would be a hero on its own to showcase the idea of an awarded item.

Part of my process is to sketch, so I can share with any stakeholders and get feedback/approval. Colors, camera angle, placement and even propping can be defined before shooting. This is incredibly helpful so the client has a close idea of what they will get.

To my surprise, one of the images was selected for the cover!
